Green Bay Packers coach Mike McCarthy is still in talks with quarterback Brett Favre, but affirms that he won't be playing for the team.

GREEN BAY -- The Brett Favre era in Green Bay is over again.
Favre left Lambeau Field about a half hour before the team's 2 p.m. practice Tuesday. McCarthy said Favre wanted to talk with his family and Packers general manager Ted Thompson before deciding on the next step.
